Supporting volunteers is always a good idea
The task
Helping people to help themselves in terms of online presence, that was the task we had to solve for the support association for the Erlanger Tafel e.V. – for users whose core business usually has precious little to do with websites.
The implementation
We have been supporting the Tafel for years with varying projects, such as this website relaunch. In addition to the technical implementation, however, it was also a matter of optimizing the site in terms of communication, so that users can reach important information quickly and easily. For this purpose, a new WordPress theme was identified, tested and adapted to the needs of the Tafel. Subsequently, the jointly decided content structure was set up and the old content was migrated and/or adapted.
The result
With the new WordPress theme, the Erlanger Tafel can now optimally inform customers, interested parties and those willing to donate. The special thing about it: The WordPress theme is designed in such a way that the Erlanger Tafel can now maintain their own web pages themselves and update them quickly if there are current changes to their offerings (e.g. in connection with Corona).
